We are all shaped by our experiences; we often define ourselves through our profession and at some point there’s a realization that you no longer resonate with that identity.
An epiphany lights up your brain while in the shower. You realize you’ve been going-through-the-motions.
And then the really BIG question hits you like a freight train; what do I actually want from my life?
You’ve realized your job title has defined you for too long. Or perhaps tragically, something really bad happened to you at a young age and you’ve allowed that to define your life.
So, what do you do?
How do you figure out what you want your life to look like?
This is where a coach, mentor or trusted advisor can help expose what you’re passionate about, how you settle on a direction and begin to make progress along that pathway.
A simple and therapeutic way to start is to write a Blog Post that describes the “you” you will create.
It needs some imagination and your coach can help you to think creatively.
Once you see your new story in print, it’ll start to “feel real”.
As you get a sense of your new reality you’ll be feeding your passion and you’ll feel in balance. You might edit that Post, or you might not.
One thing I'm sure of; that Blog Post will be a marker for your new life.
